| General Information |

Venue :The Conference will take place at the BM Birla Auditorium, located in central Jaipur. The auditorium has state of the art audio-visual facilities. The industry exhibits will also be in the same complex. Ample car parking is available in and around the centre.

Delegate Identification Badge: All attendees are requested to wear delegate identification badges at all times during the conference. Not wearing them may restrict entry to various conference halls, exhibit area and the dining space.

Dress Code: Smart casual

Official Language: The official language of the conference will be English. No translations in any other language will be available

Speaker Ready Room: This room to assist presenters with their audiovisual needs will be open in the convention centre (level 1). It is requested that speakers come in with their presentation at least 2 hours before the start of the session.

Business Centre: It will provide services like internet access, copying and fax during conference hours.

Telephone Calls: A telephone booth providing facility of long distance calls (national and international) will be available.

No-Smoking Policy: The 2nd DiabetesIndia International Conference is a NO SMOKING meeting. Smoking is absolutely prohibited at all times in conference halls, exhibit halls, lobby and restrooms (toilets). We shall greatly appreciate your compliance

Exhibit Halls (Level -1): An excellent industry exhibition displaying diabetes-related products will be located in the basement of the conference centre.

Friday, November 1810 AM- 4 PM
Saturday, November 19 10 AM- 4 PM
Sunday, November 209 AM- 1 PM

Food /Coffee Stands: Refreshment centres offering coffee, food items and other refreshments on payment will be available be open on all days of the conference.

Information Centre (Lobby level): The Information desk located at the lobby level will be happy to provide all information related to the city, sight seeing, restaurants and other queries related to travel.

Luggage Check (lobby level): This service will be available during conference hours

Parking: Car parking on payment is available on both sides of the convention centre. Car parking inside the convention centre is restricted.

Shuttle Bus Service : Complimentary shuttle bus service will be available between conference delegated hotels and the convention centre beginning early on November 18, 2005 so as to get registered delegates in time for the sessions. This service will make more than one trip in the morning and will also be available for delegates to get back after the evening session/symposia. Information regarding routes and timings will be available in the lobby of the convention centre and respective hotel lobbies. Some hotels like the Park Plaza which are within walking distance will not have the service.

Currency: The currency of India is Indian Rupees (INR). Facility to exchange currency/traveler's checks or payment by credit card will be available in the lobby level

Electricity: The electric current in India is 220-240V AC, 50 Hz. Foreign appliances could require an adaptor. Sockets are of a 3 round pin variety, similar (but not identical) to European sockets.

Temperatures and Clothing: The weather in Jaipur during late November is usually cool, dry and sunny, with day temperatures around 24 deg. C (75 deg F) and night temperatures around 15 deg. C (46 deg F)

Time Zone: India has a single time zone. It is 4-1/2 hours ahead of London (UTC), 10-1/2 hours ahead of New York, 13-1/2 hours ahead of San Francisco. It is 2-1/2 hours behind Hong Kong and Singapore, 3-1/2 hours behind Tokyo and 4-1/2 hours behind Sydney.

Visas : All foreign visitors will require a Valid Indian Visa on arrival. No visa will be available at the arrival airport. Should you require an Invitation letter, please write to us.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate: Visitors who come from Yellow Fever endemic areas and those who have visited these countries in the past six months should have a valid vaccination certuificate.
